Do You Have a Plan for Your life?
In 1970, Duke University surveyed 1600 students, with the following results:
Of the 1600, only 350 indicated they had a 5-year plan in place for their life.
Only 117 of these had their plan written down.
Of these, only 60 carried their plan with them regularly.
In 1990, Duke did a follow-up study of those students still available, with the following results:
The 60 students with the written plan that they carried with them regularly earned more money than the other 1540 combined.
The divorce rate amoung the 60 was 1 in 10 vs 1 in 3 for the others.
There were 400% fewer heart attacks among the group of 60 then the others.
75% of the 60 reported that they were happy with their career vs 27% of the others.
The psychologist who shared this information made this comment:
No plan = no life.
